Brentwood Cricket Club - ECB National Cup Winners 2024
Welcome to Brentwood Cricket Club
We are a cricket club based close to the centre of Brentwood, whose First XI currently play in the Hamro Essex League Premier Division which represents the highest level of Amateur cricket in England. Founded in 1881 the club has a rich history and its association with Essex County Cricket Club has always been close. County and other representative cricket has been regularly played at the ground over the past 140 years. Several England players have worn the Club's colours down the years, most recently Sky Sports' Cricket Commentator Nick Knight and Gavin Hamilton. We also have the honour of being able to name numerous International players that have played for us, including Australians Adam Zampa and Chris Green, West Indies stars Shane Shillingford, Daren Sammy and Jason Holder, and Indian ODI player Hrishikesh Kanitkar. We won the ECB National Cup in 2024, the pinnacle of club cricket in the England and Wales, in addition to 4 Essex Premier League titles since 2009.
In addition to our successes at the upper end of the Amateur game, we pride ourselves in offering cricket to all ages, abilities and levels of experience. As such, we currently field six Saturday League teams, a Sunday recreational team the "Brentwood Victorians" and a women's softball team. This is in addition to our Junior section which caters for young male and female cricketers aged from ages 4 through to 19, many of whom go onto play adult cricket for the club.
